Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born August 25, 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She was also a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell is host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark long, blonde hair with a pumped up personality reveals easy techniques to master and reduces the fear of eating at restaurants in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell was employed at New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary practices and the geography. She also competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. While growing up in New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. She pursued her love of working in the restaurant business by enrolment at The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. She says "I was a huge Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I loved every minute of it." I couldn't seem to get enough pleasure from it. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. The chef gained an understanding of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy that has informed her style of cooking. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of children who are struggling. Burrell is also a Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate, where she has a mission to raise awareness for the condition of children with diabetes. She speaks about her cooking passion and shares her expertise in the culinary world when she is in the United States for various roles such as speaker and mentor. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has often said that I am very fortunate to share what I love most for life with people.
